  In Florida, two state lawmakers – Senator Alan Hays and Representative Larry Metz – have introduced new legislation disguised as  “American Laws, American Courts” or SB 1294 in the Florida Senate and HB 1273 in the Florida House, that are really anti-Muslim laws.
   
  This menacing attack on religious freedom allegedly aims to keep foreign laws from influencing court cases in the United States. However, the groups pushing this bill nationwide single out Muslims by referring specifically to Sharia law.

  President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Secretary Hillary Clinton today sent Ramadan Greetings to Muslims around the world. During an election year where some candidates and pundits aggressively use Islamophobia as a campaign weapon, leaders who choose to celebrate our nation's religious freedom and diversity deserve our thanks and commendation.

  Please take a few seconds to send a quick email to the Obama administration and The Speaker of the House thanking them for respecting and celebrating our pluralistic American Values.

  President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. The fact that he continues to keep peacemaking on the agenda despite our domestic catastrophes that he is currently handling deserves admiration. To be recognized with a Nobel Peace Prize demands our congratulations.
  
  President Obama has accepted this award as a "call to action." As we congratulate  the president, we should also reinforce the notion that we are anticipating "action."

  Peace is not accomplished by the actions of one man alone. Everyone can and should play a role. Let's do our part and send thousands of letters to the President congratulating him on this achievement and encourage one of the most potentially powerful brokers of peace to keep his promises and deliver “change”.
